“Oscar and Penelope- that's an uber bingo”

Christoph Waltz, the actor who made famous the phrase “that’s a bingo”, takes the Oscar for best supporting actor for his portrayal of Hans Landa, aka "The Jew Hunter," in "Inglorious Basterds."

"Oscar and Penelope, that's an uber bingo," Waltz said in his acceptance speech, refering to presenter Penelope Cruz and her famous line.

Here is a part of his speech:
"I always wanted to discover some new continent and I thought I had to go this way and then I was introduced to Quentin Tarantino, who was putting together an expedition that was equipped by Harvey Weinstein and Lawrence Spender and David Linder and he put this script in front of me and he said, 'This is where we're going, but we're going the other way.' "Quentin, with his unorthodox methods of navigation, this fearless explorer, took the ship across and brought it in with flying colors."
The happy winner also said that he would never play the role of a Nazi again.  Christoph celebrated with colleagues and friends after the show that night.

There were more surprises that night; Mo’Nique won the oscar for best supporting actress for her role in “Precious”, Sandra Bullock won her first oscar for best actress and Jeff Bridges won it for best actor. The big winner was the movie “The Hurt Locker” that won 6 Academy Awards including best movie.

The 82nd Academy Awards ceremony was held on March 7, 2010 at the Kodak theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
