We cannot deny that we would all like to find a pot of gold. This is what leads us to constantly play bingo; we hope to find that golden pot with each bingo card that we daub. Well, there is a belief that confirms the existence of an amazing treasure right where the rainbow ends guarded by a green elf with a hat. Have you ever heard of a Leprechaun?
Origins:
From a legend that was born in Irish culture, the Leprechaun is a very special kind of Elf that shares two worlds, the material and spiritual worlds. The story goes that they come from a mixture of an evil spirit and a fairy. Therefore, its nature is neither entirely evil nor completely good. They say that they are extremely wealthy as they have spent their lives looking for gold, mostly small coins, which they gather inside big pots hidden in various places in the forest. The leprechaun's profession is that of a shoemaker and they like to take the form of little old men with green hats. They also say that the rainbow is a trail that they sometimes leave to lead men into their little mischievous game. They enjoy mischief and wickedness, testing men and taking advantage of their weaknesses, among them: greed.
If you ever spot a Leprechaun you have to remember some important things. First of all, remember they are very clever people; you should treat them with caution. While you look at them directly they will not be able to disappear. But if you look away by mistake, they will vanish with all their treasure leaving you with nothing. If you could surprise one with a good story or joke or pass one of their difficult tests they may share one or two coins with you. If you could catch one he will certainly beg for his freedom, and promise to give you all of his riches in exchange for letting them go. But many who have listened blindly to this offering have been left disappointed without a single coin only because they are so clever!
So now you know, if you ever venture out onto a rainbow and find yourself face to face with a Leprechaun, you need to have a brilliant plan. Only then can you potentially take home some of the treasure within that golden pot. I think it would be much easier to simply enjoy playing bingo and try to win the Big Jackpot!
