There is always a good and important reason to organize a bingo game.
This story is really touching. I have a lot of respect for people who are adopting kids, but taking care of other kids even if those kids suffer a malformation when you already have 3 of your own deserves a lot of respect and applause. The Grove family is one of those families.
Rhonda Grove and her husband already have 3 kids of their own plus a foster baby when in January 2008 they heard about Landyn who needs a lot of care because she suffers from brain malformation, spina bifida among other things. They formally adopted her at the end of the following summer. Last January they decided to open their door again to a new member of the family, Ashlyn. At the beginning Ashlyn wasn’t really happy; she was completely sure she wouldn’t like her new home.
As soon as she came in the front door she met Landyn who was playing on the living room floor; Rhonda said "From the first moment (Ashlyn) walked in the door and saw Landyn, Landyn lit up." Ashlyn said "(When) I saw her little face for the first time and heard everything that she has medically wrong with her, I thought to myself, 'This is a miracle child.”
The Grove family has also adopted Ashlyn legally since October, she is now 16 and a junior in high school. She knows exactly whom she wants to help when her senior project approaches- her new little sister. Ashlyn will organize a basket bingo event to collect money so her new family can build a handicap-accessible bathroom and therapy room in their home.
I hope she will be able to collect a lot of money for her little sister! Stay tuned for some more heartwarming bingo story, while playing your favorite bingo games online. Good luck!!
