A woman who did not want to divide her million pound pot she won in a bingo game and has now been banished by her family.
Relatives of Jean McCullagh said she is no longer part of their clan. The great victory shattered her relationship with her sister and her sisters in-law, Margaret Cleugh Rose McCullagh and Jessie McCullagh, who after picking up their checks at the office of a lawyer from Glasgow have confirmed that the separation is permanent.
Jessie, 65, Rose, 59, and Margaret, 67, gave a joint statement which confirmed that Jean and her husband John have been banished by the whole family.
Tony, Rose's husband and Willie, Jessie's husband joined their wives on accepting that his own brother John is now "dead" to them.
The statement said: "There are no winners here, this should have never happened. We agreed before the game that we would share the prize, not once but twice and reminded her again after the victory. Jean and John have to deal with the loss of the family. We will put this behind us and move on with our lives. "
Jean who is 71 years old was first taken to bingo by her sisters and was finally forced to share the big pot with them after 2 years of legal battles.
