I have learnt something really interesting this week while reading an article in a blog, and I would like to share it with you. It’s about the air we are breathing in our houses, offices etc. Healthy air is possible if we have plants. Actually plants are our best friends when it comes to purifying our air. Did you know that we are spending between 80% and 90% of our time in places completely closed as our tenement, work, schools, transportation etc, the list is long.
The pollutants coming across most of the time in our life are chemical fertilizers, cigarette smoke, paints, plastics, inks, detergents, coloring agents, fuel, perfume solvents, leathers, adhesives, glues, electromagnetic waves, pesticides etc. Plants have been introduced to recreate a healthy environment indoors. It has been proven that most of the pollutants have been removed because of the plants. They have noticed that the pollutants are penetrating the plant through the leaves and the roots then they are stored in the plant and it rejects them through the soil as fertilizer.
Each plant has its own particular qualities; you may choose it for functional reasons based on the type of pollution you have around you. Here are some examples; Aloe Vera absorbs all the pollutants from paints, woods, papers, cardboards, glues, fabrics etc; Ficus Benjamina absorbs ammonia, pesticides etc; Sansevieria absorbs the cigarette smoke etc; Crassula Arborescens will take off some of the electromagnetic waves (as will cactus). A very important detail about all the cactus’ is that their job is to produce oxygen during the night and to reject the carbon gas during the day. Do not hesitate to decorate your room with some of them. Be cautious that plants can provoke some reactions in children and animals.
To play a game of bingo online in a better atmosphere, place a Crassula Arborecens which not only has beautiful flowers but can absorb the electromagnetic waves around you and add a Sansevieria which will absorb the cigarette smoke, if you smoke. Now your room is free of contamination, you can buy some cards and try your luck to one of our jackpots in all our bingo rooms. Good luck to you all!
