Bingo growth projected to double in next five years.
Bingo online has continued to grow exponentially since it began several years ago. A combination of many internet sites, dynamic marketing, and largely the push to go online from the smoking ban, bingo has all the right ingredients for success.
According to reports produced by the GBGC or Global Betting and Gaming Consultants, online bingo games generated wins of £72 million last year, a figure that is projected to take off in 2008. The industry analysts have predicted that number will be well over £164 million within five years.
Phil Fraser, founder of Which Bingo and chairman at this year's 2nd annual online bingo summit had this to say: "Increased awareness of online bingo in the mass market, driven by the big land-based bingo brands and media owner's bingo sites, means that there is indeed still much room for growth. Continuing increases in broadband into people's homes and the increase in variety and quality of product also contributes to this opportunity."
Bingo is rapidly becoming one of the most popular scenes for online gambling and shows no intentions of giving up any of its share.
