Pittsburgh introduces bingo to the 21st century with electric bingo cards.

Bingo has been known as a traditional game since it began. Cards,
balls, and very little flash used to be bingo's trademark. A gambling
hall in Pittsburgh recently decided to take bingo into the 21st century
by introducing electronic bingo cards - a move that intended to bring
bingo into the realms of fame that other methods of gambling, such as
poker, have come to enjoy. These electronic bingo machines, a little
smaller than a notebook, automatically daub the cards for the bingo
players. Of course, some have argued this new way has removed the
intensity of old fashioned bingo.
Since players have more free time, bingo halls are scoring
big on sales of other amenities such as food, drinks, and instant
tickets. The profit margin is great for such dynamic entertainment, the
halls paying only 6$ for each machine used while charging patrons
anywhere from 20-50$ a machine.
Bingo hall high-rollers estimate that this will soon become nationally
the most popular method of bingo, due to a variety of factors including
seamless gameplay, higher intensity, and the ultimate fusion of classic
bingo with the technology of today.
