The song that was playing at the time was Cliff Richard's "Congratulations", and bingo managers and players are wondering whether it had anything to do with the woman's sudden illness. Bingo hall bosses at Buckingham Bingo have since defended playing the Cliff Richard song after a bingo win, after the elderly woman was taken to the hospital. Mandy Richmond, a manager at the bingo club, said in a statement earlier that the song by the British singer had nothing to do with the woman falling ill and was played "as standard procedure after a win."
